Who We Are
Lacrosse is more than just a sport. For some of us, lacrosse is a vital part of our lives, playing at university, club or national level. But what about those players whose passion lies within mixed lacrosse? Those who wish to maintain the elite standard of play but are limited by what clubs have to offer?
Lions is a team made up of mixed lacrosse players from Great Britain and Ireland looking to take their skills to the next level. We train at monthly squad weekends, and play matches against other mixed teams, as well as national teams, such as Senior England Women's. We offer the chance to play mixed lacrosse at an unrivalled level.
Our Mission
Our mission is to offer players the opportunity to hone their lacrosse ability within a high intensity, elite environment. For international players, Lions is their opportunity to play mixed lacrosse at the same high level that they are used to, and have a lot of fun whilst doing it. Non-international players are able to play with the best of the best within the Home Nations - something that may otherwise be inaccessible.
Our Vision
Home Nations Lions Lacrosse is already generating huge recognition both in the UK & Ireland, and in the USA. Our plans include introducing mixed lacrosse to an audience who may be completely new to the sport, or may see it as more of a social game than an elite sport. The skills required to play this style of lacrosse are immense, so using our supporters to help us to grow the game further will be invaluable.
